On Friday, IndiGo said that it will run chartered flights from Jeddah to Bengaluru and the nation's capital in order to transport Indians who had been evacuated from Sudan as part of Operation Kaveri home.
Over the weekend, the airline will run two flights to return more than 450 Indian citizens to their country of origin.
On April 28 and 30, these flights will be run using A321 aircraft. From Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, they will be run to Delhi and Bengaluru.
According to the statement, “IndiGo is closely coordinating with the government to offer support for more such evacuation flights.”
India transported 754 individuals from the violently divided Sudan back on Friday as part of Operation Kaveri.
According to government statistics, there have already been 1,360 Indians returned to their home countries.
