After the bowler interrupts his direct hit, MS Dhoni erupts at Pathirana, making the CSK captain unhappy.

The captain of the Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni, is known for maintaining his cool under pressure. He has earned the nickname “Captain Cool,” yet the match between CSK and Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium had several unusual events. Once again losing his composure, Dhoni was seen yelling at Matheesha Pathirana for blocking his direct-hit effort at the stumps.

Dhoni had also requested a DRS review earlier in the game, which didn't go in CSK's favor, and even Sunil Gavaskar made light of the event when providing on-air commentary for the game.

There were several memorable moments in the game, and Pathirana's last over was dramatic. Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal, the Rajasthan Royals' two set batsmen, were looking to help their team surpass the 200-run threshold.

The middle-order batsman Jurel was taken by Dhoni's stunning throw from behind the stumps after making an excellent 34-run performance in only 15 balls. Padikkal was given the strike after Ravichandran Ashwin entered the game on strike and quickly singled. Then he would crush Pathirana for a boundary in the direction of fine-leg.

After the Rajasthan Royals duo had stolen 3 runs on the final ball of the innings, Dhoni was furious with his bowler. Pathirana had intercepted the throw from Dhoni, who had been aiming for the non-striker's end when Shivam Dube threw the ball to him.

Sanju Samson's team managed to post 202/5, which was their highest-ever total in Jaipur in IPL history. They also won the match by 32 runs by successfully defending that total.

Yashasvi Jaiswal had earlier struck 77 runs in 43 balls, including 8 boundaries and 4 maximums, to lay the groundwork for the innings of players like Jurel and Padikkal.

End result: Despite Ruturaj Gaikwad's 47-run knock and Shivam Dube's 52-run performance, the Royals were able to limit CSK to only 170/6 thanks to Adam Zampa's masterful spin bowling.
