<p>On Saturday in the late afternoon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to lay the cornerstone for the Varanasi International Cricket Stadium in Uttar Pradesh.</p>
<p>The International Cricket Stadium in Varanasi was to be built with 121 crores of rupees in land purchase costs, according to the Uttar Pradesh government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In addition, the BCCI would invest Rs 330 crores in building the stadium.</p>

<p>With designs created for crescent-shaped roof covers, trident-shaped floodlights, ghat steps-based seats, and Bilvipatra-shaped metallic sheets on the exterior, Lord Shiva serves as the inspiration for the stadium’s theme. 30,000 people will be able to fit in the stadium.</p>
<p>At the foundation stone laying event, seasoned athletes like Tendulkar, Gavaskar, Shastri, and Vengsarkar would be present. According to the press announcement, prominent BCCI members like President Roger Binny, Vice President Rajiv Shukla, and Secretary Jay Shah will attend the event.</p>
<p>In addition, a sizable contingent of seasoned athletes is anticipated during the foundation stone-laying event.</p>
<p>This will be the third international cricket stadium in Uttar Pradesh, after those in Kanpur and Lucknow.</p>
