NEW DELHI: A Delhi court has decided to prolong the judicial custody of AAP leader Sanjay Singh in connection with the alleged excise scam money laundering case until November 10.

Special Judge MK Nagpal has granted permission to Sanjay Singh to sign specific cheques for both his family’s expenses and his duties as a member of Parliament.The judge has also instructed the relevant prison authorities to ensure that Sanjay Singh receives appropriate medical care, including from his personal physician.The court has found no justification to deny the accused private medical treatment. Consequently, the designated jail superintendent has been instructed to guarantee the necessary medical treatment, in accordance with the judge’s directive.The judge also emphasized that the counsel for the accused must ensure that no supporters of Singh or any other individuals gather at the medical center during his visit.With agency inputs
